Iebele Abel wrote A Peaceful Passing Over in September 2023, following the passing of his sister. It is the first work in the series Seven Affirmations for Piano, which was released almost a year later, in August 2024.

A Peaceful Passing Over is expressive music that touches many hearts. The piece is simple in structure and provides ample room for musical expression. It is an excellent example of how beautiful music doesn’t need to be complicated: in the right performance, even a few notes can convey subtle emotions.
